Overcrowding |
| |
Habitats that are overcrowded
with frogs are likely to cause diseases and infections
amongst its residents.
Injuries frequently occur in overcrowded conditions
because all the frogs are moving around and bumping
into each other. It is also likely to contribute
to raising their stress levels. When a frog feels
excessively stressed with its surroundings it
is likely to try to escape. When frogs try to
escape their are frequently injured in the process.
Housing many frogs together will likely cause
fights between the frogs which can also cause
physical injuries.
Some frogs can actually be poisonous to different
species but not to their own kind. For this reason
you should not mix species of frogs in the same
habitat without thoroughly researching their compatibility.
