Weight Loss |
| |
Weight loss in frogs is usually
the result of a more serious disease. Frogs are
very susceptible to stress for a variety of reasons.
If they are feeling stressed it is likely that
they will not eat, or not eat as much as they
should. This lack of eating can obviously lead
to a loss of weight if it prolongs. When frogs
are not eating properly they tend to be very lethargic
and will likely not move around nearly as much
as they would when they are healthy.
If you cannot determine the cause of the weight
loss it is important that you take your frog to
your veterinarian as soon as possible to have
it looked at. A veterinarian will have a much
better chance of pinpointing the cause and providing
a solution to get your frog healthy again.
